Phantom Of The Paradise

This is one of the most overlooked cult gems of the 70's. It's a rock opera remake of "Phantom Of The Opera". If you run across this gem, I would recommend checking this one out. I still can't find the DVD of it.........

The Phantom: My music is for Phoenix. Only she can sing it. Anyone else who tries, dies.

Raw's Greatest Hits - The Music

Pro Wrestling (if you can call it that) is somewhat one of my guilty pleasures. I still miss the so-called "Attitude" era of the WWE. It was great to hear the sound of breaking glass and seeing "Stone Cold" Steve Austin coming out and issuing a good old-fashined ass whipping on someone. Enjoy this one. It's got most of the ring entrance themes to most of the WWE's biggest stars from "Monday Night Raw".....

Universal Horror Themes

I ran across this over at Unversal Horror Sounds and want to share it with everybody else. There's some great stuff over at that blog. The blogmaster has great taste because no one (and I mean no one) will ever top Universal as making some of the greatest Horror movies ever made. This contains themes from Dracula all the way through to Creature Fom The Black Lagoon. Stop over there and check out this great blog.....

The Beatles - Rarities (US & UK Versions)

Here's a late Christmas present for all of the Beatle fans out there. This is the U.S. version of "Rarities" which was released in the states in 1980. This is aptly titled because it's never been released on CD. If you wished to buy this, you can get this from Amazon used starting at about $40.00. Enjoy this one. As a bonus, the 1978 United Kingdom version of "Rarities" is also here. For a more detailed description of these releases, Wikipedia has a great entry for both of these releases........

Doctor Who Original Television Soundtrack

This was released in conjuntion with the DVD release of Series Two. It's a great companion piece to the DVD sets. One particular song on this release is one to remember. It's Track 27 and it's titled "Doomsday". I would definitely check this one out if you're a fan of "Doctor Who". You might have to look for it in the import or soundtrack section of your favorite record store..........

Music For A Darkened Theater Volume One & Two

If you've seen most of Tim Burton's movies (or a lot of others), you're familiar with the work of Danny Elfman. He's gone from being the mastermind behind cult group Oingo Boingo to being one of the most in-demand score composers in Hollywood. Here for your pleasure are the only two released anthologies of some of his work.......

The Abominable Dr. Phibes

I was sitting and watching "The Abominable Doctor Phibes" the other day and remembered when I saw it at the drive-in as a three year old Horrorphile. It was at the old and long gone Sky-Hi Drive-In, which was located at Harlem & Irving Park Road in Chicago. It was great since it was my first exposure to a horror movie on the big screen. You can't beat the image of a guy removing his face and turning into a walking skull. Enjoy this long out of print gem......
