I'm a fan of the great disaster flicks of the 1970's. These are the ground work for all of your CGI loaded movies that you enjoy today. Next time you see "Independence Day", "Twister", "Volcano", or anything else you see today, think of these. The fire and the water were all real thanks to the hard work of the crews involved. Enjoy these out of print gems.....
Nurse Gina Rowe: They're suppositories Mr Rogo. You don't swallow them.
Mike Rogo: Then what the hell do you do with them?
Linda Rogo: For Christ's sake! I know what to do with suppositories. Just get them outta here!
James Duncan: Oh, come on. Now just how bad is it?
Chief O'Hallorhan: It's a fire, mister, and all fires are bad.
Chief Inspector, L.A. Dept. of Water & Power: Find anything?
Diver at Hollywood Reservoir: [surfaces] All OK as far as I can tell! I'll check again!
[submerges]
Chief Inspector, L.A. Dept. of Water & Power: I guess we won't find anything until after the shaft is pumped out, but everything looks fine.
Max, Assistant Dam Caretaker: Right. People drown in elevators every damn day of the week!
